Willamette Innovators Night/ CEO Keen Footwear James Curleigh
  • I didn’t have a chance Thursday to reflect on the days events. Around 3pm I was able to listen in on the OSU College of Business keynote speaker James Curleigh, CEO of Keen Footwear out of Portland, OR.(James Curleigh Speech) James’ enthusiasm towards innovation and how the Keen brand is represented in today’s market was great to see. All in all great speech, Keen seems to be doing some really cool things via their website, as well as their new 2010 line up of shoes and accessories.
  • The Willamette Innovators night was yet another great event. Many local technology start ups from the Valley were well represented.
  • I would like to give a shout out to Nate Edwards of Edwards Robotics who has developed a great robotic alternative to harvesting golf balls at the driving range. I look forward to helping him out in any way possible. His featured product’s will be available come February 2010.
  • Another cool robotics start up that I would like you all to take a look at is Revolution-Robotics also out of Corvallis,OR. I was fortunate to meet Aaron Oki Moore the Director, Design Engineer of Revolution-Robotics. They are currently running out of a garage establishment doing smaller orders. If any of you have connections that may lead to Aaron, and Nate’s companies growing, please let me know or feel free to check out their websites.
